1. Overview: LEGIER & SCANDIC GROUP

The Legier media group is an international media conglomerate with over a hundred daily newspapers and its own high-performance infrastructure. Under the umbrella of Legier Beteiligungs mbH, the SCANDIC GROUP brings together brands in the areas of payments/crowdfunding (SCANDIC Pay), real estate (SCANDIC Real Estate), trading/finance (SCANDIC Exchange), private aviation, yachting, data centers, trust/asset protection, security and health. This ecosystem enables cross-brand value streams - from capital acquisition to deal execution to operations and monetization - and leverages common platforms for identity, compliance, data, security and operational processes.

2. Digital twin and control tower

The SCANDIC GROUP supply chain is represented by a digital twin: a semantically linked model of all assets, nodes, partners and processes. This model feeds a control tower that provides real-time transparency about material flows, inventories, capacities and risks. Intelligent algorithms and AI support planning, forecasting, scheduling and load balancing. In the event of deviations (e.g. delivery delays, quality defects, geopolitical risks), measures can be taken quickly. The digital twin also serves as the basis for sustainability and ESG reporting.

3. End-to-end value stream per brand

Each brand in the SCANDIC GROUP has an end-to-end process that includes the following phases:

  • Planning: Demand forecasting, capacity planning, budgeting and risk analysis.

  • Sourcing: Selecting suitable suppliers and partners, negotiating contracts, ensuring ethical and sustainable procurement.

  • Production/Service: Manufacture of products (e.g. yachts, real estate projects), provision of services (e.g. data hosting, payment processing) and quality management.

  • Delivery: Logistics, distribution and delivery to customers worldwide, including customs and export controls.

  • Returns & Feedback: Handling returns, complaints, service optimization and continuous learning from customer feedback.

Through these phases, resources are used efficiently and waste is minimized. Cross-brand synergies facilitate the sharing of infrastructure and enable economies of scale.

4. Regulatory framework

The SCANDIC GROUP is subject to numerous legal requirements: customs, tax and commercial law; industry regulations for aviation, shipping, real estate and financial services; data protection and information security requirements; Environmental and occupational safety laws as well as the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act. Compliance with international sanctions lists, export controls and anti-corruption regulations is also part of it. Our governance teams monitor these regulations and adapt processes.

5. Governance and transparency

A clear governance structure ensures that supply chain management, risk controlling and sustainability are anchored at the highest level. A group-wide supply chain committee defines standards, reviews key performance indicators and reports to management. We create transparency through regular reports to stakeholders, the disclosure of partner networks and the publication of sustainability indicators. External audits and certifications (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 27001) supplement internal control. In this way, the SCANDIC GROUP ensures that its supply chains are operated efficiently, fairly and sustainably.
